A full, detailed schedule is now available, with a few additions and minor changes expected as we get closer to the Retreat. Here is an overview of the schedule and some of the special activities planned.

Register by May 1 for Special Invitation

As a pre-treat to the Retreat and for those that register on or before May 1, join us for an extraordinary social gathering hosted by two of Louisiana’s favorite folk—Mister Mojo and Karen Kennedy. Hear some music, do some dancing, enjoy some down home treats, and relax with a beverage as we virtually mingle, and muse on front porches along the Bayou.

What You Will Learn

The Professional Development Team is finalizing some details with the major sessions set as seen in the full schedule. The schedule includes a selection of roundtable and plenary sessions that will address key issues you have suggested. We will also address issues of personal wellness, communication with new colleagues, roster stewardship, evolution of diversity issues, and more.

We will also have a session where representatives from APAP, CAPACOA, Western Arts Alliance, Arts Midwest, South Arts, Arts Northwest, and IPAY will update us all on the opportunities they can offer over the coming months, including conference status.

How We Will Network

With Zoom and our website as the major vehicles for our meeting—formats that we all have grown to understand—we have a plans to help us network and shar

  • Speed Meets: Randomly breakout participants in groups of four or less to meet each other, switching out every few minutes helping you to put many names to many faces.
  • Fab or Fizzle: Similar to our infamous Ah-ha, Ah-shits Moments, briefly share something each has experienced in their work. Was it fabulous or did it fizzle?
  • Kindred Spirits: Those of like business functions—all agents and managers, all presenters, all artists, and the like—talking about those issues unique to your group.
  • And More: Incorporating as many of your great ideas as we can, our time will be spent effectively and efficiently.
