The Retreat and COVID-19

UPDATE APRIL 4: We understand the news coming from New Orleans is serious. We continue to monitor their city and state directives daily as well as national advisories. However, continuing with a positive and hopeful outlook, NAPAMA will stay the course planning for the 2020 Retreat in New Orleans scheduled for May 31-June 2. The early-bird registration and hotel reservation deadlines have been moved from April 17 to April 30 and will have an update on or before May 1 as to the disposition of the Retreat. Thank you for patience and understanding.

If plans change due to COVID-19, registration fees paid to NAPAMA for the Retreat will be refunded. If you have any questions before May 1 about the Retreat and your registration, please email Retreat Director, Hank Knerr, or call him at 724-422-5757.

About the Retreat

Started in 2011, the retreat has grown both in numbers and in ideas and content. The NAPAMA Agents and Managers Retreat is open to any agent, manager, producer, artist, presenter or anyone involved in the field of professional touring of the peforming arts. We gear our convening towards anyone who is interested in being part of the conversation. The Retreat provides those who operate within the touring performing arts industry an opportunity to network, learn, and share information and resources with other agents and managers with everyone involved in the performing arts welcome. The Retreat is a no-sales zone allowing everyone to speak openly about booking issues from all points of view.

Surrounded and inspired by the sights, sounds, and tastes of The Big Easy, you will spend valuable one-on-one time with colleagues in sharing business models, discussing processes with a variety of presenters, exploring other professional practices, and enjoying this great city. Come early and stay late as we inhabit the historic Hilton St. Charles, right on New Orleans’ St. Charles Streetcar line and just three blocks from the French Quarter.
